Gemango Software Services Inc. is an outsourcing and offshore service provider specializing in serving the SME markets in Western Europe where we want you to do what the big spenders do without to spent big.
Primarily we do not only follow the traditional IT outsourcing model of project-based services for big and long term projects, instead we offer our clients also the opportunity to establish their own dedicated department in The Philippines or to outsource, completely or partially, your software development or services. This is equivalent to having your in-house specialists but for a significantly lower cost and less administrative nuisances.
Our unique business model merges the human element with IT to not only help companies to grow, but provide ongoing resources that sustain growth with the flexibility to scale up or down as markets shift. Established in late 2008 by Mr. Monnissen Gert, Gemango Software Services Inc. has offices in Asia (The Philippines and Singapore), Europe (Belgium) , US (Chicago) and a continuous number of independent representatives/project managers in other regions.
Mr. Monnissen Gert, active in the software industry for more than 17 years in both technical and managerial positions has been involved in many outsourced projects in the past and knows from hands on that making an outsourcing project successful you have to take in account many factors and realize this is a complete different ball game then adding extra workers in your own office, communicate in your own language and sharing the same social habits.
Gemango Software Services Inc. has been established based on that background and we strive to define our own unique GOP’s (Good Outsourcing Practices) where our 2 main pillars are Documentation and Communication.

We don’t believe in pure sales representatives, rather each of Gemango’s representative has a decent background in remote project management and will follow up your project at all times. All our representatives frequently travel between the local offices and the development team itself in the Philippines to optimize cooperation and so making us one of the few that actually meet one to one with the local engineers and your engineers in your office frequently.
If in any case problems arise your representative is just a local phone call away in your own language or a meeting at your office.
Because our representatives have a decent technical and usability background rather than a pure sales profile they can perfectly collaborate with your project management or local engineers and actively participate in problem solving, usability designing and all this in your language in your office.
Unlike other outsourcing companies in the region, Gemango Software Services Inc. is fully owned by the European management team and has no silent or unknown investors.
We handle very competitive rates and guarantee that our pricing models is 30 to 50% lower than classic near shore outsourcing in Eastern Europe or the major players in India.
Your own dedicated remote teams:
We prefer to start with a “low volume model” if it comes to setting up remote teams. Meaning, we rather start with 1 or 2 persons giving you the time to adjust to the new way of working rather than with a minimum of 5 or 10, like most of our colleagues require. This gives you a much better chance to anticipate and optimize the requirements.
On a quarterly base each project and employee is evaluated to optimize the productivity. In worst case situation your representative travels to our main office in the Philippines to resolve the matter locally.
We don’t use any ‘lock-in’-formula. If it doesn’t work after all, just respecting local labor code of letting people go can end the partnership. Nevertheless are we proud to state that not one single partnership has been canceled so far in our 5 years of existence prior to successfully ending a project as planned.
You can be in direct contact with your developers, artists or agents at all times if required, so no unexpected staff change or project shift without your knowledge.
We provide life video feeds and daily reportings so you can have a visual on your dedicated team at all times if needed.
We help you with setting up Voip hardware in your local office, assist in guiding your remote team and help you to optimize the operations with your offshore team.
Support in people retention: With knowledge of local needs and requirements we can advise how to get the remote workers more involved in your project, negotiate target incentives and other stimulators.
We assist in al Visa application in case they need a local training at your office, all trainings can be covered by contractual bonds.
We encourage you to actively get involved with your remote team to visit at least once or twice a year your local team in the Philippines.

WHY THE PHILIPPINES?
Years of experience and ‘frustrations’ in outsourcing software projects (both near‐ and offshore) made us realize where the hurtles were.
In all honesty we can state that it is not easy to guide a remote team, both near- as offshore, even with a decent background in outsourcing. If problems arise and both parties don’t master thoroughly the English language a solution is further away than ever.
Usually first hand communications is done by email or instant messaging (chat). If guidelines are not clear and more detailed issues need to be discussed, a phone or video conference is needed.
You can put as much effort as you want in your Software Design Document but if at this stage fluent knowledge and pronunciation of the English language is lacking, your project will have a high failure rate.
After investigating more than 10 potential locations (Ukraïne, Bulgaria, Poland, Hungary, India, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, China and others) The Philippines were the best of class considering all variables ( labor cost, education, connectivity, language, culture, etc.).
The proper English knowledge, the cultural similarities, the relative low labor cost ( +/- 50% of near shore), relative stable environment and government, business laws that follow international standards combined with a relative good education and a reasonable time difference with Europe made us decide to set up Gemango in the Philippines.
Our normal business hours in the Philippines are from 1 pm to 9 pm giving it an overlapping window from 6am to 3pm in the GMT+1 region and staff is not required to render night shifts to support their quality of life.
Why Cebu?
The capital of the Philippines, Manila, is saturated already with international companies, the labor costs are around 30% higher, office space rentals are expensive and more shortage on highly skilled staff.
The second largest economy, Cebu, with a lot of growth potential is located in the central part of the Philippines, surrounded by other islands that act as a buffer for natural disasters compared to Luzon, the island where Manila is located, that almost every year during hurricane season is affected seriously by floodings, seriously disrupting business operations.
Although Cebu City is well established already with state of the art shopping malls, business parks, restaurants and other lifestyle commodities you don’t get a real feeling of overpopulation, massive traffic, high criminal rates and pollution. The nearby (10 to 30 mins drive) beach resorts offer a quick getaway after a hard day at the office and gives Cebu its unique work/leisure combination.
Cebu can be reached by plane from all major hubs in the area by daily flights( Singapore, Hong-Kong, Beijing, Kuala Lumpur, Taipei, Dubai, etc.)
